Targeting kids

THIS SUMMER, the theme is `Target Children' for many. Yet another drive; this time from Indian Airlines is likely to send many a city-kid tug his/her father's arm and tell him: ``Papa I want that.''

Initiated in association with a child portal, Netfundu.com, the scheme is targeted to woo children to travel on the national carrier.

Children in the age group of 2 to 12, travelling on IA flights have to post their boarding cards in original along with details like name, age, residential address to IA Netfundu Cards, Post Box No.7338, PO Srinivaspuri, New Delhi, 110 065. On receipt, the firm would courier on behalf of IA a kids pack consisting of a small bag with a personalised membership card enrolling the child in IA's Fundu Kids Club. A set of personalised visiting cards with an exclusive e-mail ID for the child passenger, a copy of Fun Magazine along with small gift items, would be sent directly to the furnished address.

Apart from exciting discounts, a number of partner stores like Nike, Pizza Hut, Pepsi, Archie's and Reebok would be offering special rebates to the child travellers holding membership cards. It helps since all the `branded' people chipping in have considerable presence in Chennai.

Child passengers travelling on IA flights can also register on- line with www.netfundu.com and post their boarding cards in original. A separate zone has also been created on the child portal for IA child passengers.
