'Ready to discuss Kashmir with Musharraf'

BHUJ (Kutch), JUNE 3. The Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari
Vajpayee, today expressed the hope that his talks with the
Pakistan Chief Executive, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, would help bring
about a solution to the Kashmir tangle.
The Prime Minister said India would have no hesitation talking on
Kashmir with Gen. Musharraf because its arguments were based on
``solid and logical grounds''. He was happy that Gen. Musharraf
had accepted his invitation for a visit to Delhi to discuss the
bilateral issues and hoped that it would help resolve the Kashmir
issue.
India always believed in good relations with all its neighbours
and his Government was taking steps in this direction, Mr.
Vajpayee said addressing a public meeting here.Accompanied by the
Union Home Minister, Mr. L.K. Advani, and the Railway Minister,
Mr. Nitish Kumar, Mr. Vajpayee also inaugurated `Indraprastha,'
the relocated village for the people of devastated Dudhai village
undertaken by the `Rashtriya Abhiyan,' the organisation of the
former Delhi Chief Minister, Mr. Sahib Singh Verma.
He also visited some of the villages being rehabilitated by the
Seva Bharati besides holding meetings with the government
officials to review the rehabilitation and reconstruction
activities.
