Govt. announces 'Atmagaurava Puraskars'

HYDERABAD, JUNE 3. The State Government on Sunday announced the Telugu Atmagaurava Puraskars-2001. According to a press release issued here, the recipients of the awards are Mr. Pullela Sri Ramachandrudu (Literature), Mr. Sistla Ramakrishna Rao, Mr. Chatla Sreeramulu and Mr. Babban Khan (Art and Culture), Dr.Kakarla Subba Rao (Science) and Mr. Kamineni Eshwar Rao (Sports).

In recognition of his services to Telugu theatre, Mr. J.Siddapa Naidu has been selected for the Sri N.T.R.Smaraka Award-2000. The Chief Minister, Mr.N.Chandrababu Naidu, will present these awards at a ceremony to be held at Ravindra Bharathi on Monday, the release added.
