Ashok Leyland's pact with German firm
CHENNAI: Ashok Leyland has signed an agreement with ZF
Friedrichshafen AG (ZF) of Germany for licensed manufacture in
India of ZF's 6 S-850 - six-speed synchromesh gearbox. These will
be made at its Bhandara facility in Maharashtra. The gearbox is
designed for medium and heavy duty commercial vehicles. ``This is
a contemporary product,'' says Mr. Seshasayee.
