Sinha undergoes surgery
NEW DELHI, JUNE 12. The Union Finance Minister, Mr. Yashwant
Sinha, underwent a ``successful'' surgery for his kidney ailment
at a hospital in Boston in the United States last night, reports
reaching here said today. Mr. Sinha had gone to the United States
last week for removal of a cyst in his kidney, which had been
troubling him for over a year.
Mr. Sinha was discharged after a laser surgery at a Boston
hospital and is recuperating at the residence of his son who
stays there. The Finance Minister was once admitted in the All
India Institute of Medical Sciences and subsequently went to
Boston for treatment last year, reports said.
