TRW selects PTC's Windchill solutions

CHENNAI: TRW has selected advanced-Parametric Technology (India)'s Windchill collaboration software to implement within its automotive business, beginning with occupant safety systems. TRW selected PTC after an extensive review process with competitive offerings. TRW systems will utilise the company's automotive industry expertise to ensure a smooth integration of the Windchill product.

Citrix pact with Sierra Wireless

CHENNAI: Citrix Systems and Sierra Wireless have established a strategic relationship to deliver business applications running on Citrix MetaFrame servers over wireless networks to users on any client device. Citrix MetaFrame software supports the Sierra Wireless network cards and will support Sierra's future products.

Speedera partners HCL Comnet

CHENNAI: Speedera Networks, the provider of integrated stream media, web content delivery, failover and global load balancing services for the Internet has signed an agreement with HCL Comnet, a wholly owned subsidiary of HCL Technologies to provide Speedera Networks' services to HCL Comnet customers. Speedera services will be readily available to HCL Comnet's customers, according to a release.

IBM's Linux-enabled servers

CHENNAI: IBM has announced the worldwide availability of new high-performance, integrated midmarket servers and operating system software designed to help customers reduce the cost of running an e-business. The IBM eServer models are loaded with innovative enterprise server management solutions aimed at helping customers manage infrastructure complexity and reduce costs by as much as 25 per cent.

S. K. Mohanty, DGOF and Chairman of OFB

CHENNAI: Mr. S. K. Mohanty, IOPS has taken over as Director General Ordnance Factories (DGOF) and Chairman, Ordnance Factory Board with effect from June 1. Prior to taking over, he was member/OFB in-charge of Personnel & Corporate Planning Division. He succeeds Mr. A. D. Dave who superannuated from service on May 31.
