Thomas & Uber Cup dates

BANGALORE, JUNE 16: The International Badminton Federation (IBF) has decided on the preliminary venues for the Thomas and Uber Cup championships to beheld in 2002.

According to IBF, though it has not yet arrived on a decision regarding the choice of the venue for the finals of the championships, the following are the zonal venues:

Pan American Zone: Preliminary rounds at Havana, Cuba, from November 13 to 17, 2002. (The qualifiers will play in the semifinal round at Eindhoven, Netherlands).

European Zone: Preliminary round and the semifinal stage at Eindhoven, Netherlands, from Feb. 17 to 24, 2002.

Asia-Oceania Zone: Melbourne, Feb 17 to 24, 2002.

IBF will notify the venue for the finals in about three weeks time.India will play in the Asia-Oceania Zone .
