Koodankulam contract soon

MOSCOW, JUNE 27. India and Russia will sign a contract for the
construction of two nuclear reactors at the Koodankulam power
station in September or October.
The decision was reached at a meeting here on Monday between the
Chairman of the Indian Atomic Energy Commission, Mr. Anil
Kakodkar, and the Russia's Atomic Energy Minister, Mr. Alexander
Rumyantsev, the RIA Novosti said.
The project report for the Koodankulam power station ``is being
finalised''.
Russia will supply six more reactors to operating nuclear power
plants in India and other equipment for scientific nuclear
centres. Agreement was also reached for the supply of uranium
fuel for the Rajasthan atomic power station.
