Tiger eclipses Norman's record

LONDON, JUNE 27. Tiger Woods has broken the record for consecutive weeks at the top of the golf rankings despite finishing a disappointing 16th in the Buick Classic.

In the latest rankings issued on Tuesday, Woods retained his No. 1 spot to beat the 96-week record set by Australian Greg Norman from June 1995 to April 1997.

Spain's Sergio Garcia, who won the Buick tournament, moves up from eighth to fifth.
