SSI Education announces franchisee led growth model

By Our Corporate Reporter

CHENNAI, JULY 6. SSI Education, a leader in high-end IT education has announced its franchisee led growth model.

Addressing presspersons here yesterday, Mr. Kalpathi Suresh, chairman and CEO of SSI, said over the next four years, most of the company owned centres and education service provider (ESP) centres would become franchisee owned. This would provide significant cash flows, as well as reduce continuous and increasing capital intensity. Over the last few months the company was in active discussion to sell the first few company owned centres and the existing SSI franchisees would be given the first option to invest, Mr. Suresh said.

The existing SSI Education franchisee operation including ESPs contribute over two-thirds of revenue.

Mr. B.G. Menon, CEO, SSI Education said ``Service delivery is a key SSI success factor and when we decided to go the franchisee route, it became that much more crucial to deliver a consistent and uniformly higher standard in all we do across all out centres.''
