Ranbaxy gets Brazil nod for anti-AIDS drug
NEW DELHI, JULY 13. Ranbaxy Laboratories today said it had
received the Brazil regulatory authority approval for its anti-
AIDS drug Lamivudine.
Ranbaxy S P Medicamntos, its wholly-owned subsidiary which
received the authority's nod is hoping to launch the drug by
September this year, a company statement said here.
Lamivudine prescribed as a part of the high active anti-
retroviral regimen in combination with other anti-retrovirals has
been approved for the treatment of hepatitis B as well, it said.
