Tremors in Gujarat
By Our Special Correspondent
AHMEDABAD, JULY 15. An earthquake of medium intensity was felt in
many parts of Gujarat this morning.
The quake was measured at 4.1 on the Richter scale at 5.43 a.m.
with its epicentre near Bhuj, the district headquarters of Kutch
which was the worst hit area in the Republic Day earthquake.
Coming close on the heels of heavy rain in many parts of Kutch
district where people were forced to live in the open following
the collapse of most of the houses on January 26, the fresh
tremors spread panic.
