International \| Previous \| Next 93 feared dead in Chinese coal mine blast BEIJING, JULY 23. About 93 miners are feared dead in an explosion at an illegal coal mine in eastern China, the State media and police said today. The blast trapped 106 miners on Sunday morning at a small coal mine in Xuzhou of Jiangsu province. Thirteen persons were rescued, the official news agency, Xinhua, said.
