Raman panel extends deadline for affidavits

CHENNAI, AUG. 8. The Justice A. Raman Commission of Inquiry has
extended the time for filing of affidavits till August 25.
The Commission was appointed by the Tamil Nadu Government to go
into the allegations of ``police excesses'' committed while
arresting the former Chief Minister, Mr.M.Karunanidhi, here on
the night of June 29, in connection with the `flyover scam' case,
and the two Union Ministers, Mr. Murasoli Maran and Mr. T.R.
Baalu, the next day.
