Roda Mistry surrenders in court

HYDERABAD, AUG. 29. The former Minister, Mrs. Roda Mistry, whose Indian Council for Social Welfare (ICSW) was charged with complicity in the child adoption racket, surrendered before the 9th Metropolitan Magistrate, Mr. N.Anand Rao, here on Wednesday. She was remanded to judicial custody till September 5.

The bail petition of Mrs. Mistry, who came to the criminal courts complex at Nampally in a wheel chair around 4 p.m., was rejected. The arguments for the case have been posted for Thursday.

Police said the investigation of Mrs. Mistry's role in the child adoption case had been completed.
