All police stations alerted
RANCHI, SEPT. 9. The Jharkhand Government has alerted all police
stations in the State to maintain maximum vigil in the wake of
fresh threats from the Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) to disrupt
train services in the State.
The State Special Branch Inspector General of Police, Mr. G. C.
Rath, said the ultra outfit had reportedly threatened to block
railway tracks in the State following ``poor response'' to the
72-hour ``Chakka jam'' (road blockade) which ended on Sept. 7.
The Government had asked all police stations to conduct an
intensive patrolling along the railway lines, particularly on the
Grand Chord and in the Barkakana, Patratu and Muri section.
