Gear up for challenges, ICAR DG tells NAARM

HYDERABAD, OCT. 10. The need for looking at newer options to meet
existing and emerging challenges was stressed by the Secretary,
Department of Agricultural Research and Education and the
Director-General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Dr.
Panjab Singh, here on Wednesday.
Addressing the scientists at the National Academy of Agricultural
Research, Dr. Singh said, "Change obviously reflects growth and
dynamic institutions grow through periodic reforms aimed at
meeting new challenges. The Indian Agricultural Research System
must gear itself to address new challenges."
He was on his first visit to NAARM after assuming charge of the
new posts. He also called upon the NAARM to inculcate team spirit
among agricultural scientists of the ICAR system. The Director of
NAARM, Dr. J. C. Katyal, felicitated Dr. Singh on the occasion.
