Focus is on graphics

ON the sets of AVM studio Karan was in dialogue with a witch (Ramy Reddy). The subject of converstion was a box, empty. Angry that the box doesn't contain what it wanted, namely the precious eyes of the presiding deity of the Mariamman temple, the witch says that he knows where to get the replica of the eyes stolen. Yhen it disappears. The scene was being shot with N. K. Viswanathan, behind the camera. Viswanathan is an expert in special effects shots so widely used in this type of films.

Director Ramanarayan who has more than a hundred films to his credit is now busy with ``Kottai Mariyamman", the film is produced by Shyamala Art Pictures. ``I have directed movies which have graphics for 400-500 seconds. But in this film we have planned to have 1,000 seconds graphics. Kids' eyes change, a pond full of water turns into blood, and people are going to see `Thirisoolam' dance for a song and many more thrilling effects are there in this film".

The film was shot mainly in Madurai, Azhagar Koil and Theni. Some scenes shot in the AVM and Mohan studios. The film is in the final stages and will be released soon.

"I made a story wherein a person steals the land of a Mariyamman temple. Another group usurps the garden. Some take away the ornaments of the temple deity. Karan takes away the eyes adorning he presiding deity. The very next day his child gets involved in an accident. So he tries to sell them and also tries to replace them on the deity. He is unable to do either. After the operation his child wakes up. The eyes which he stole from the temple are seen in the eyes of his child. His wife tries to steer Karan to the right path. Does she succeed ? The climax is powerful", adds Ramanarayan.
