Suicide pact by family, three dead
By Our Staff Reporter
TIRUMALA, NOV. 13. In a suicide pact, three of a four-member
family have perished here. The housewife, however, has survived
the attempt. According to the Tirumala Two Town police, Mr. Bala
Narasimhulu, his wife and two children came to Tirumala on
November 10 and stayed in one of the TTD free choultries. On
Monday night, they decided to end their lives and consumed poison
in their room. While three of them - Mr. Bala Narasimhulu (35)
and his sons - Vamsi (10) and Manikanta (9) - died, Mrs. Shobha
Rani (28) escaped. She regained consciousness late in the night,
and on seeing the bodies of her beloved ones, she shouted for
help.
All the four were immediately rushed to TTD-run Aswini hospital.
A medical team attended on them, but the attempt to save them was
futile.
The police said that Bala Narasimhulu was a native of Gadwal town
in Mahabubnagar district. Unable to clear debts, the family
decided to end their lives, according to a suicide note.
