CHENNAI, DEC. 9. The Government has nominated four elected representatives of local bodies as members of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA).

According to a recent G.O. of the Housing and Urban Development department, the nominated members are Mr. `Karate' R. Thyagarajan, Deputy Mayor, Chennai Corporation, Mr. B. Dhansing, Chairman, Pallavaram Municipality, Mr. V. Elumalai, president, Nandambakkam Town Panchayat, and Mr. C. Rajendran, president, St.Thomas Mount Panchayat Union. The appointments were necessitated following elections to the local bodies.
