Hindu Sena opens fire on revellers
LUCKNOW, JAN. 1. Two new year-eve revellers were injured when Hindu Sena activists opened fire with country-made revolvers to disrupt the DJ Nite at a fun club on Faizabad road late last night, police sources said here today.
The activists, allegedly led by their State unit president, Mr. Alok Dube, reached the Super Fun and Food Centre and broke the window panes and tried to disrupt the ongoing new year bash there, the sources said adding the security guard at the centre also fired from his licenced weapon to disperse the mob. A case has been registered and investigations were on.
Earlier, the Hindu Sena had through a letter to the district authorities warned that it would stall all programmes organised in the city's hotels and clubs on the new year-eve because they were against the Indian culture.
