Trinamool severs ties with Cong.
- PTI

DIGHA (WB), JAN. 20. The Trinamool Congress today announced severance of all ties with the Congress, accusing it of working against the party despite having an electoral alliance in the last Assembly election in West Bengal.

In many constituencies, the Congress had actually worked for rival candidates to ensure the defeat of Trinamool candidates, the party chief, Mamata Banerjee, alleged. She also questioned the Congress' strategy of joining hands with CPI(M) at the national level to oppose the BJP while opposing the same in West Bengal and added in the last election, the CPI(M) had utilised the ISI agents to work for the party and now it was speaking against them.

Talking to newspersons after inaugurating the two-day State council conference of the party here, Ms. Banerjee took exception to the State Government not paying any heed to their suggestions on the bifurcation of Midnapore.
