Sir, The letter `Thefts on trains' ( Feb.16) smacks of contempt and utter disregard for the sentiments of lakhs of TTEs. It is preposterous to imagine that the TTE is the custodian or guardian of properties of passengers and make him accountable for the loss of cash, etc., thanks to the carelessness of the passengers.
