Imam detained

SONEPAT, FEB. 23. The Imam of a mosque, suspected to be having links with terrorists operating in the region, has been taken into custody for interrogation by the Central Intelligence agency, official sources said today.

Zahid Hussain, Imam of a mosque at Thari village near here, was detained on Friday, the sources said. However, villagers maintained that the Imam, who had been residing in the village for the past several years, had no links with any terrorist organisation.
