Ticket examiners won't go to Ayodhya
By Our Special Correspondent

CHENNAI, MARCH 4. About 40 railway ticket examiners, deputed to Ayodhya, will not go on duty unless they are assured adequate protection.

It is said the Railway Ministry directed the Southern Railway to depute a team as it expected a heavy rush of `kar sevaks' from different parts of the country for temple construction.

On Saturday about 20 ticket examiners, who were about to leave for Ayodhya by the Varanasi Express, refused to go, saying the situation there was tense.

Meanwhile, members of railway trade unions today staged demonstrations in front of the Central station here demanding cancellation of the deputation order.
