Golden sacred thread for Tirumala temple

KANCHEEPURAM MARCH 28. An 18-foot golden sacred thread studded with diamonds valued at Rs. 35 lakhs will be presented to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams by the Kanchi Sankara Mutt soon.

The Mutt sources said the thread was made with donations and offerings from devotees. The Kanchi Acharya, Jayendra Saraswathi, would present it to the temple.
