MUL's soft warranty

NEW DELHI MARCH 30. Maruti Udyog today announced two-year soft warranty terms over and above the usual two-year free warranty for all cars purchased after April 1, according to a company release.

Maruti is offering two options under the `extended warranty scheme' — under the first, the warranty is available for one additional year or 20,000 km, whichever is earlier and in the second option, customers can choose between extended warranty of two years or 40,000 km whichever is earlier.

The rates for one year `extended warranty' are as follows _ Maruti 800 Rs. 1,495, Alto Rs. 1,790 and Esteem Rs. 3,495. The two year rates are: Rs. 2,995, Rs. 4,190 and Rs. 5,885, respectively, for the three models.
