Mr. Djindjic's comments indicated that Serbian police may be preparing to hand over some of 15 indicted Serb war crimes suspects. Among those in hiding in Serbia is one of the tribunal's most-wanted fugitives: Gen. Ratko Mladic, the wartime military leader of the Bosnian Serbs. However, Mr. Djindjic indicated a reluctance to go after Mr. Mladic, a Bosnian Serb who enjoys widespread support within Serbia.
