Ravindra assumes charge as Chief Secy.

BANGALORE MARCH 30. Adikeshavalu Ravindra assumed charge as the new Chief Secretary here this evening. He succeeds Teresa Bhattacharya who will be retiring tomorrow. Dr. Ravindra belongs to the 1965 batch of the IAS.

The Krishna Government has adhered to the seniority principle in the appointment of Dr. Ravindra. He will have a short tenure of nine months as head of the State's civil service. He has held various senior positions in the Government, including Additional Chief Secretary, Chairman of the BDA, and Commissioner and Administrator of the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.

He is well known for his affability and accessibility to the public.
