Police said while four persons were killed in Gaya, one person was killed at Mirjapur in Nawada district of Bihar. One person was arrested in connection with the Mirjapur incident. Twenty four others, including women and children, were also injured at Baijda village of Nawada district when some unidentified people fired indiscriminately on a group of villagers while they were returning home after attending a function of Bhajan Kirtan, the police said. A Hazaribagh report from Jharkhand said 25 people were injured when people of two communities clashed during Holi at Inchak area. The report said some Holi revellers were attacked by a few people of a particular community at Madanpur village. Hours later, a mob of around 500 people hurled stones and brickbats at the attackers, harboured in a place of worship. Police patrolling has been intensified and prohibitory orders under Sec. 144 Crpc clamped at Inchak. Security has been tightened at Inchak area of Hazaribagh district after a clash during Holi between two communities left 25 people injured. Prohibitory orders have been promulgated at Inchak where a strong contingent of policemen was deployed, the Superintendent of Police, Dipak Verma, told PTI today. He said a group of people who went to a place of worship at Madanpur village clashed with Holi revellers staging a cultural programme. They fought a pitched battle for some time and later one group entered a place of worship. Altogether 25 people were injured in the clash and brickbatting, he said adding the injured were admitted to hospital. Police patrolling has been intensified in the communally-sensitive Hazaribagh following the incident.
