The country's dominant operator of basic phones today said the new off-peak international rates would broadly match the current peak time rates while the new peak rates are about 10 to 15 per cent lower than the current tariff. The change in STD rates is confined to a slight change in the peak and concessional rates for intra-circle calls from and to the networks of other operators in the 50 km to 200 km slab.
