Naren Kumar, who won the first leg of the National Circuit at Coimbatore recently, said: "I am excited as this a first step towards making the World Rally championship. Naren, felt that the challenge ahead is a stiff one, where one has drive a faster car and the standard at Asia Pacific is international class. As a part of their preparations, Naren Kumar and Arjun Balu will leave for Australia on April 20 and train for 10 days, before the event. Both Naren Kumar and Arjun Balu will drive turbo-charged Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7 cars. It is learnt that JK Tyres too will field teams for the Asia Pacific Rally and it is likely to send Hari Singh and Karamjit Singh.
