Sir, The decision of the employees of public sector undertakings across the country to go on strike, protesting against the privatisation of various organisations, led to a virtual standstill in essential service organisations like banks and income tax offices. This is ironic considering that the reason various PSUs are being privatised is that they have been extremely inefficient in the first place. Resorting to industrial action to protest against privatisation merely weakens their case.
