Bopanna and Vijay in doubles quarterfinals

NEW DELHI APRIL 18. The third-seeded Rohan Bopanna and Vijay Kannan, who had won two titles from three finals in the recent Futures circuit in the sub-continent, made the quarterfinals of the $10,000 Futures tournament in Kuwait.

The Indian pair downed Adrian Barbu and Ramin Razixani of Iran 6-2, 6-3 in the first round, and will meet Abdullah Al Mekami and Fahed Al-Saad of Saudi Arabia.

The fourth-seeded Mustafa Ghouse and Prahlad Srinath had also made the doubles quarterfinals. The team will will meet Esteban Carril-Caso of Spain and Walter Orth of Germany.
