Ali-Vasant duo inquarterfinals

Mumbai April 18. Intikhab Ali and veteran Mayur Vasant made it a tame affair against Vinod Sridhar and Vasudev Reddy in the men's doubles pre-quarterfinal round of the Khar Gymkhana All India Men's Open tennis championship on Thursday.

Eliminated from the singles event, the duo put their heads and skills together, to beat Sridhar and Reddy in straight sets.

Sridhar and Reddy have reached the quarterfinal of the men's singles, though. In the last pre-quarterfinal played on Wednesday, Vinod Sridhar beat Rohan Gajjar 7-5, 6-4.
