Gurbaaz Mann was still in the lead along with Manav Das, who had the only below par score for the day. Gurbaaz carded par for the day while Manav Das had a one under 71. Keshav Mishra and Gagan Verma were in joint second position a stroke behind while Harinder Gupta, Simarjeet Singh and Dinesh Kumar closely followed in that order. Gurbaaz started of brilliantly with birdies on the first and fourth holes to have a two-under 34 for the first nine. But again the Chandigarh youngster saw his game drop a couple of notches on the back nine. A bogey on the 12th, 15th and 18th was interspersed with another birdie on the 14th for Gurbaaz to end up with a par score for the day. "I just got careless in the second half and seemed to lose focus. I missed some easy putts and will have to play much better on the final day,'' Gurbaaz said. Ambala's Manav double-bogeyed on the second hole but recovered to shoot par for the rest of the holes on the first nine. He however had a much better second round with three birdies (12th, 14th and 17th) to end up with a card of one under. It also meant that Manav was right up with the leader and well positioned for an assault on the fourth and final day. Keshav Mishra and Gagan Verma, joint leaders with Gurbaaz, on the opening day both returned with par scores for the day to slip into joint second place just a stroke away from the leaders. The local golfers did not fare too well though David D 'Souza moved up to 15th spot. The scores: 1. Gurbaaz Mann (71, 75, 72) and Manav Das (75, 72, 71) 218 each; 2. Keshav Mishra (71, 76, 72) and Gagan Verma (71, 76, 72) 219 each; 3. Harinder Gupta (74, 75, 72) 221;4. Simarjeet Singh (74, 73, 75) 222; Dinesh Kumar (72, 75, 76) 223; Jasjeet Singh (77, 73, 76) 226; Vikram Rana (77, 75, 78) 230.
