Spurt in IDBI Bank's net profit
MUMBAI
APRIL 18.
IDBI Bank has posted a quantum jump in its net profit at Rs. 52.42 crores for the year ended March 31, 2002, against Rs. 19.36 crores in the previous fiscal.
Total income for the year was up by 55 per cent at Rs. 266.10 crores against Rs. 171.20 crores, IDBI Bank managing director and CEO, Gunit Chadha said.
Net interest income at Rs. 143.60 crores was 41 per cent higher than the previous year's Rs. 101.60 crores while other income rose by 76 per cent to Rs. 122.50 crores (Rs. 69.60 crores).
In the fourth quarter ended March 2002, the net profit was flat at Rs. 10.54 crores (Rs. 10.14 crores) while total income stood at Rs. 69.10 crores (Rs. 55.19 crores), he added. — PTI
