Orissa Cong. assails Patnaik Govt.

By Our Staff Reporter

BHUBANESWAR APRIL 18. The Orissa Pradesh Congress Committee has criticised the BJD-BJP Government in the State for its "failure''. The state executive committee of the party in its meeting held here today alleged that the Ministers had little control over the administration. The Chief Minister was governing the State through the Secretaries of various Departments, it claimed. Briefing presspersons, the PCC president, Sarat Patnaik, blamed the Government for the deteriorating law and order situation in the State.

Terming the March 16 attack on the Assembly by VHP andBajrang Dal activists, Mr. Patnaik said it was unfortunate that the Government had not taken note of the demand made by the Congress MLAs to ban the two organisations in the State.
