Cong. men for disciplinary panel

By Our Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM April 18. With the KPCC president, K Muraleedharan, determined to push for disciplinary action against certain party leaders, Congress leaders are now demanding a State-level disciplinary committee.

This demand is likely to be made by a section at the next KPCC office-bearers and executive meetings. The moves for a State-level disciplinary panel is being made because a large number of Congress leaders feel sore about the KPCC president's partisan positions.

According to these leaders, Mr Muraleedharan was only a nominated president. He was made KPCC president within hours of the swearing in of Mr Antony as Chief Minister in the interest of retaining party unity. But Mr Muraleedharan, these leaders who claimed anonymity, was hounding out leaders belonging to the opposite camp on disciplinary grounds, while at the same time turning a blind eye on the senior leader, K Karunakaran's open criticism of the Government.
