Uninterrupted power supply maintained, says Minister

HYDERABAD April 18. The Minister for Commercial Taxes, K. Vijaya Rama Rao, has said despite certain difficulties uninterrupted power supply is being ensured in the twin cities.

He was reviewing the power supply position at a meeting of the district-level committee on Wednesday.

Officials said that to eliminate low voltage problems, 705 distribution transformers were installed.

On pilferage of energy, they said 361 cases were booked for prosecution and an amount of Rs. 34.93 lakhs was assessed for realisation.

The Hyderabad Collector, the Commissioner of Police, the Chief Engineer and the Superintending Engineers of the Metro Zone of the A.P. Central Power Distribution Corporation participated.
