Letters to the Editor
Sir, Medical entrance tests are round the corner all over the country. The students taking the tests are subjected to gross injustice due to the apathy of the paper setters. On the one hand, logarithmic tables are strictly prohibited in these tests, and on the other, questions that cannot be solved without using these tables are included. For example: numericals on radioactivity and chemical equilibrium. The students are left with no choice other than leaving such questions unanswered. The ranking of successful candidates is affected by the loss of even one mark. I call upon the concerned authorities not to include such questions or to consider them omitted if the papers have already been set.
Harish Sharma,
