Sir, The report " 3000 child marriages in Chhattisgarh" (April 24): Parliament should debate this crucial issue and amend the Constitution, enabling the Government to penalise the offenders with heavy fine and rigorous imprisonment. Also, the minimum age of marriage should be raised to 23 for women and 25 for men.
