U.K. denies `moves' against Modi

London April 25. Britain today denied that it was working with some Gujaratis in the country to file cases against the Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, saying that it would be very unusual to do so.

``It is for the affected families to take legal action and they have not approached us. It will also be very unusual for us to get involved in this matter,'' a British Foreign Office spokeswoman said.

She was responding to queries regarding a media report in India that some Gujaratis were working with the British Government to file three cases in three separate courts across Europe against Mr. Modi on charges ranging from complicity in murder to genocide. _ PTI
