GE Shipping's net surges
The Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) has reported a revenue of Rs. 1,196.35 crores in the 12 months ended March 31, 2002, against Rs. 1,155.02 crores, a growth of 3.6 per cent. The net profit (after provision for deferred tax ) has risen by 17 per cent to Rs. 207.51 crores from Rs. 177.41 crores, according to a company release.
For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2002, revenues were at Rs. 258.45 crores and the net profit (after provision for deferred tax) at Rs. 30.78 crores.
