TVS Electronics achieves profit

TVS Electronics has achieved a net profit of Rs. 47 lakhs on a turnover of Rs. 48.54 crores in the first three months ended March 31, 2002 against Rs. 1.08 crores and Rs. 63.84 crores respectively in the same period in 2001. Other income accounted for Rs. 20 lakhs against Rs. 3 lakhs. Revenue from IT appliances amounted to Rs. 40.06 crores and E-services Rs. 14.98 crores. The profit before tax is lower at Rs. 54 lakhs against Rs. 1.27 crores.
