Khaleda Zia hospitalised

Dhaka May 13. The Bangladesh Prime Minister, Khaleda Zia, was admitted last night to a hospital in New York, an official communique said here today.

Begum Zia, who has been suffering from arthritis for a long time, may undergo a knee operation at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Earlier, in the1990s, she had had another knee operation in Saudi Arabia. — UNI
