Making a statement in both the Houses of Parliament today, Mr. Sinha claimed that there was no link between these purchases and the CBI probe into the bribery case involving the Chief Excise Commissioner, Someshwar Mishra, and the Flex chief, Ashok Chaturvedi. Dissatisfied with the clarification, the Congress, the RJD and Left parties staged a walkout in the Lok Sabha but the Samajwadi Party leader, Mulayam Singh Yadav, supported Mr. Sinha.
