PM's J&K visit a disappointment: Mufti

By Our Correspondent

SRINAGAR MAY 27. The former Union Minister and president of the People's Democratic Party, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has described the visit of the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, to the State as a big disappointment.

Addressing a press conference here today, the Mufti said the Prime Minister's visit had raised a ray of hope among the people of Kashmir. But the announcements made by him had disappointed them. In order to raise the peace flag in the region, the Union Government had to initiate a dialogue with the people of Kashmir and a political package was the need of the hour.
