Singapore `allows' families to return

By Amit Baruah

SINGAPORE JUNE 4. Singapore has "allowed'' families of diplomats and other Government officials living in India to return home "in view of the current situation'' prevailing between India and Pakistan.

A Foreign Ministry statement, however, said the Singapore High Commission in New Delhi and consulates in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and the Honourary Consulate-General in Karachi were functioning normally. ``Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials and those of other Singapore Government agencies stationed in India remain at their posts...,'' the statement added.
