Bank of Maharashtra net Rs. 145 cr.

Bank of Maharashtra has achieved a net profit of Rs. 145.41 crores in the 12 months ended March 31, 2002 against Rs. 45.19 crores in the previous year. Total income was higher at Rs. 2,305.58 crores against Rs. 1,928.27 crores. The operating profit has risen by 73 per cent to Rs. 415.04 crores from Rs. 239.98 crores.

Total business has crossed the Rs. 29,000 crore mark against Rs. 24,000 crores in the previous year. Deposits have risen by Rs. 2,106.07 crores to Rs. 19,130.63 crores. Advances were higher at Rs. 8,255.12 crores against Rs. 6,672.53 crores. Investments stood higher at Rs. 9,909.19 crores against Rs. 8,840.87 crores.
